Brian McFadden has confessed that he feelssick over the criticism that he has received surrounding the release of his latest single. The ex-Westlife singer wasrecently criticisedas reviews insinuated that his current single,Just The Way You Are (Drunk At The Bar) promoted date rape through its controversial lyrics.
However, McFadden has recently stated that the allegations have made him feel sick. The singer has continually denied the claims that his song promotes anything illicit, but has now promised to donate all profits from the single to a charity which supports victims of sexual abuse.
Speaking on his Twitter page, McFadden said:"Feel sick that my single is getting so much attention for the wrong reason. I love making music but I do not want this song played on radio or sold to profit myself if people think it's about date rape. It's not about date rape.
"I'm gonna give all my profits from the song...to victims of rape. Because it disgusts me. Sorry people misunderstood my lyrics. someone let me know a worthy charity who supports victims. And finally... my song is supposed to be fun... not offensive...guess not everyone has the same sense of humour.
He continued:"This is not a publicity stunt...so don't think I'm backing down and agreeing. I just wouldn't give the haters the pleasure."
