Joe Bonamassa To Release New Album 'Dust Bowl' On March 21st

Joe Bonamassa To Release New Album 'Dust Bowl' On March 21st

World renowned guitarist Joe Bonamassa will release his 12th full-length solo album, 'Dust Bowl' in the UK on Monday March 21st 2011 (US release is March 22nd). The album will coincide with Bonamassa’s forthcoming 'Dust Bowl 2011 World Tour' that will take in cities across America, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia.

“I think Dust Bowl is the best album we’ve ever done,” says Bonamassa. “I’m finding more inspiration in storytelling in my 30s, in writing songs that are about something more profound than ‘my baby left me.’ I like albums that are made with the right intentions and sound organic and a little rough around the edges, like a great band playing live in the room.”

Dust Bowl is Joe Bonamassa’s sixth collaboration with producer Kevin “The Caveman” Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Black Crowes, Black Country Communion) and features collaborations with Nashville legends Vince Gill and John Hiatt, female vocalist Beth Hart, and Joe’s Black Country Communion band-mate, Glenn Hughes.

'Dust Bowl' is the follow-up to 2010’s 'Black Rock', which entered the Official UK Album Chart at #14, and the self-titled debut album from Black Country Communion, the Bonamassa-helmed, British-American rock supergroup featuring Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian.  BCC debuted at #1 on the UK Rock Album Chart and at #13on the official UK Album Chart.

Hal Return With Free Download& Details Of New Album

Hal Return With Free Download& Details Of New Album

Dublin 3-piece, Hal, formed in 2003 and were signed by Geoff Travis to Rough Trade Records in 2004. Their eponymous debut album was produced by Tears for Fears' Ian Stanley, and released to critical acclaim in 2005, producing two UK and Irish top 40 chart hits.

The band toured worldwide during 2004/05, enjoying extensive television& radio promotion all over Europe, and performing headline and support shows with the likes of the Doves, The Thrills and Brendan Benson.

Finding particular success in France, they were awarded an EBBA (European Border Breakers Award) for most debut record sales outside their home nation, and 'Best Album of 2005' in French Magazine 'Music'. Back home they won 'Album of 2005' in the Irish Independent, and 'Best Newcomers' in the Irish Post, as well earning nominations for the Choice Music Prize and 'Best Band of 2005' at the Meteor Awards. In 2007, suffering writers block, singer David Allen quit the band and left Ireland. He returned in 2008, with a large collection of new songs, having spent nearly 2 years travelling Europe and the States with only his guitar for company, playing in various pubs and clubs, and indulging in a different pseudonym for each performance.

During this time Stephen, the band's keyboard player, put himself to work building his own recording studio where he has engineered and played on several acclaimed records including Fionn Regan's latest offering, 'The Shadow of an Empire' Dave's brother, the band's bass player/backing vocalist, Paul, immersed himself in his other great love-photography as well as penning new songs and musical ideas in the hope that they would one-day reform Hal. And so on Dave's return to Ireland, they did just that and began sifting through material to begin work on Hal's second record. The band spent 2010 recording and 2011 will see the band return to the live arena and long-awaited release of second album, 'The Time, The Hour'.

As a taster they are making 'Down In The Valley' available as a free download from 24th January 2011HERE

Matt& Kim Unveil Teaser For New 'Cameras' Video

Matt& Kim Unveil Teaser For New 'Cameras' Video

New York duo Matt& Kim caused a wee bit of fuss in the US last week with the unveiling of the teaser video for their new single 'Cameras'. Renowned for making amazing, quirky, low-budget videos, you can check out their latest teaser production below. The full video will be unveiled later this week.

Last week we also saw a rather fine mash-up between Matt& Kim and Jay-Z drop from DJ FMFC. Clickhereto check out the full album.

Just before Xmas NME launched Matt& Kim's assault on the UK by giving away an exclusive track from their forthcoming new album 'Sidewalks', in the form of the rather ace 'Where You're Coming From'. This track is now available for a listenhere.

Having debuted in the iTunes Mainstream chart at #3, the iTunes Alternative chart at #1 and Billboard Top 200 at #30 on it's US release late last year, New York duo Matt& Kim’s highly anticipated third full-length effort, 'Sidewalks' arrives in the UK this spring.

Featuring 10 original tracks, 'Sidewalks' was recorded earlier in 2010 with producer Ben Allen in his Atlanta, GA studio and Oliver Strauss in New York. 'Sidewalks' is the follow-up to 'Grand', released in 2008 in US via the FADER Label. 'Grand' has sold over 100K copies to date, sitting on the New Artist chart for 78 weeks.

'Grand's stand-out tracks were‘Lessons Learned’, the duo’s huge single which won an MTV VMA for Breakthrough Video in 2009 and featured Matt& Kim stripping naked in Times Square, NYC, and‘Daylight’, which has clocked-up nearly 6 million views on YouTube, selling over 500K and achieving Gold status.

'Sidewalks' tracklisting is as follows:

1. Block After Block
2. AM/FM Sound
3. Cameras
4. Red Paint
5. Where You’re Coming From
6. Good for Great
7. Northeast
8. Wires
9. Silver Tiles
10. Ice Melts

The two met at Pratt Institute. Despite Kim having never played drums before and Matt having never played keyboard, they started the band in 2004. 'Sidewalks' is Matt and Kim’s 3rd full length album. The songs were written by Matt& Kim and recorded in both Atlanta and NY with producers Ben Allen and Oliver Straus, respectively.

Blur To Return In 2011?

Blur To Return In 2011?

With the memories of 2009’s spectacular comeback still bright, Blur fans may be getting another treat sooner than expected with the news that Blur look likely to be releasing their first new material since ‘13’ and touring it.

Drummer Dave Rowntree confirmed the suggestions made late in 2010 by lead signer Damon Albarn when he stated"something is going to happen"in 2011."We've got nothing concrete".

Rowntree went on to give further information in an interview with Gigwise saying"{We're} trying to put something in place. Quite when, I don't know ... {and} who knows that it's going to end up like. What I do know is that we don't want to commit ourselves to anything vast at the moment."

In a later interview with NME Rowntree scaled back the rumour a little but left enough of a hint that fans can expect to hear more news of some new recordings in the near future"You can't really play the festivals or try and get a big tour together until you release something ... We're in touch."

2009’s reunion tour was a huge event including back to back sell out nights at Hyde Park (which were later released on DVD) and a headline performance on Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage which Damon went on to call a career highlight.

Blur followed that by releasing‘Fool’s Day’ as a limited edition single as part of record store day in 2010 and hinted at a series of singles to follow talking in November 2010.

"We're dipping our toes in the water, which is why we did the single in the way we did,"Rowntree said."We've got all our mates back, and that's the main thing. That's the one thing we don't want to lose."

All signs are positive for a second comeback. Stereoboard will, as always, keep you up to date with any further information.

Wanda Jackson - Brand New Video Featuring Jack White

Wanda Jackson - Brand New Video Featuring Jack White

Third Man and Nonesuch Records announce the release of the new album from Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Wanda Jackson. 'The Party Ain’t Over', produced by her friend Jack White, will be out on January 24.

With a remarkable career that began in 1955, Jackson, credited with being the first woman to ever record a rock and roll song - 'Let’s Have a Party' in 1958 - was convinced by her friend Elvis Presley to cross over from country to rock and rockabilly music.  Now known around the globe as “The Queen Of Rock” and “The First Lady of Rockabilly,” Jackson was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2010 Americana Music Awards in Nashville in September.  The award, in the category of Performance, was presented to her by Jack White.

That these two musical luminaries would find one another is hardly surprising.  Jackson is an icon to everyone who knows and loves the roots of rock and roll.  White, some 30+ years her junior, is one of music’s most enigmatic visionaries.  The two teamed up last year to record a 45rpm single for White’s Third Man Records.  The vinyl and iTunes release, a cover of Amy Winehouse’s 'You Know I’m No Good' b/w 'Shakin All Over' was a big success and the pair hatched a plan to record a full-length album.

'The Party Ain’t Over' was recorded in Nashville at White’s studio, where he brought together a formidable band, including himself, Jack Lawrence (The Dead Weather/Raconteurs), Carl Broemel (My Morning Jacket), Patrick Keeler (Raconteurs), Ashley Monroe, Jackson Smith, and Karen Elson, to name a few, and handpicked the songs - 11 tracks dating in origin from the early 1900s to 2007.  The result: a retro modern collection of music that showcases Wanda, now in her seventh decade and sounding as wickedly charismatic as ever.

From the album opener, the classic Johnny Kidd and the Pirates hit 'Shakin All Over,' to the final track from Jimmie Rodgers’ notable blues series, 'Blue Yodle #6,' Wanda’s soulful, ripping voice barrels through from song to song, moving effortlessly from rockabilly, rock and roll, country and gospel - leaving a vibrant, distinctive stamp on a release that embraces the past just as much as it embraces the future.

Gary Barlow Says Take That Will Be A Four-Piece

Gary Barlow Says Take That Will Be A Four-Piece

Take That singer Gary Barlow has shown Robbie Williams the cold shoulder today by stating that he believes the band will become a four-piece once more.

Robbie Williams returned to the boyband last year to record their chart-topping album ‘Progress’ and to prepare for a lengthy arena tour, which the band are soon to embark on. However, speaking to Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 this morning, Barlow stated that William’s return was far from permanent.

He said:“I think even moving forward, I know we’re back with Rob right now, but we still see our future as a four piece band. We see Take That as a four piece band in general.” Neither Williams nor the rest of the band have remarked on Barlow’s comment so far.

Meanwhile, Barlow is preparing to play a special birthday show at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire tomorrow night. The one-off show, dubbed ‘GB40’ is a celebration of the singer’s 20-year singing career to date, performed in front of a select audience of family, friends and winning ticket holders. The set will also be broadcast live on BBC Radio from 8-10pm. All profits from the evening will be going to charity.

Red Hot Chili Peppers New Album Almost Finished

Red Hot Chili Peppers New Album Almost Finished

With their new album now just two months away, Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea has started to tease fans by posting shots of the band adding the finishing touches in the studio.

The as yet untitled album is due for release in March this year and will be the Chili's first new release since 2006’s 'Stadium Arcadium'. Since then the band has changed slightly with guitarist John Frusciante leaving and being replaced by Josh Klinghoffer who is in one of the shots taken and posted by Flea.

Always full of energy and happy to give a quote or two Flea told NPRs "We love music, we're willing to put in the work and we're willing to put in the time."

The LA funk rockers sound has become more polished and mainstream throughout their career with Stadium Arcadium the most universally accessible they had released, although many still hold up 1999’s Californication as the career highlight. The band have been tight-lipped on the style of the new album, although it’s unlikely they will stray far from what has brought them global success over the years.

Details of a tour are yet to be announced; as soon as we hear the announcement of some UK shows, you’ll know about it on Stereoboard.com.

Alexandra Burke Pleads Organisers To Play Glastonbury, V 2011& IoW Festivals

X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke has appealed to the producers of Glastonbury and other big UK music festivals– pleading with them to let her play at the world famous events.

The star revealed “Last year I didn’t have a band. This year I do, so I’m ready. I would love to play Glastonbury, V Festival, Wireless and the Isle of Wight. I need to get involved – I have a hot band.”

Burke, 22, had only just set off on her first tour as headline act, but made the request to also feature at some of the biggest festivals in the UK.

The singer is said to be also recording her second album–shortly after the end of the tour.
“After the tour I’m taking two days off to sort myself out, then I’m going to finish the album. You’re absolutely going to hear it this year, I’m not wasting any time.”

She is probably hoping that Glastonbury and the other big festivals will be the ideal place to test out her new album– watch this space for more info on this story.

Spike Jonze's Arcade Fire Film To Debut At Berlin Film Festival

Spike Jonze's Arcade Fire Film To Debut At Berlin Film Festival

Spike Jonez’s short film centred around Arcade Fire’s ‘The Suburbs’ will be premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival. The film was unveiled in a shortened version as the promotional video for the Arcade Fire single, however the director has now confirmed that the whole piece will be shown at thefestival next month.

Entitled ‘Scenes From The Suburbs’, the film is a progressively dark look at the environment of youth. Speaking toPitchforkabout the project, lead singer Win Butler said:"We played Spike some music from the album and the first images that came to his mind had the same feeling as this idea for a science fiction film I had when I was younger. My brother and I and Spike wrote it together, which was really fun: it was like total amateur hour."

The Berlin International Film Festival runs from February 10th-20th.

Meanwhile, Arcade Fire’s website has recently been named the best website of 2010. The Web Awards Organisation awarded the band top prize at their Favourite Website Awards (FWO’s). The bands interactive ‘Wilderness Downtown’ site earned top prize from the organisers, and they are (apparently) the voice that counts. Aspokesperson (and clearly a humble one) described the awards as “...the most visited website award program in the history of the internet.”

Tinie Tempah To Release 'Wonderman' As Next New Single

Tinie Tempah To Release 'Wonderman' As Next New Single

Four-time Brit Award nominee, Tinie Tempah, releases the fifth single from his critically acclaimed platinum selling album 'Disc-Overy'.

'Wonderman' is an energetic ode for wannabe super heroes everywhere, full of explosive rhythms and catchy rhymes as well as a stunning chorus sang by last year's BRIT Critic’s choice winner, Ellie Goulding. The video is a fun-filled homage to seventies classic, 'The Six Million Dollar Man', withTinie starring as the 'The Wonderman' aided by his assistant, Ellie Goulding; their mission, to save the world.

Check out the trailer for the full video which is to be premiered on YouTube on Saturday 22nd January.

Tinie and Ellie performed 'Wonderman' at last week's BRIT Awards launch, where he topped the list with multiple nominations across four categories: British Breakthrough Artist, British Single for Pass Out, British Male Solo Artist and the prestigious Mastercard British Album of the Year; cementing his status as the most popular and credible artist in British music right now. Tinie will also be performing live at the BRIT Awards ceremony at the O2 on February 15th.

2011 really has got off to a cracking start for Tinie. He recently returned from Australia having supported Pharrel Williams’ band, N*E*R*D on tour and also managed to celebrate the Ashes win in style with the England cricket team. In the coming weeks he will visit America where he has already been confirmed to appear on the Jimmy Kimmel show where he will perform two songs (something of a rarity for an artist yet to release a debut album over there) before returning to the UK to embark on his second sold out UK tour. Motorhead, Mastadon, In Flames& Parkway Drive Added To UK's Sonisphere 2011 Line-Up

Motorhead, Mastadon, In Flames& Parkway Drive Added To UK's Sonisphere 2011 Line-Up

About time one of the most legendary and influential bands of all time make their entry in Knebworth’s guestbook. Motörhead will make their debut appearance at Sönisphere this summer, giving fans their first chance to see songs from the recently released 'The World Is Yours' album in a festival setting. The embodiment of all that is Rock’n’Roll, despite playing what Lemmy describes as “raucous, arrogant, paranoid, speedfreak rock n roll”, Motörhead are a household name the world over, with successes too numerous to count across their 35 year career. Motörhead are more than just a band – Motörhead are a mindset, a belief, a way to live your life!

In addition to Lemmy and co readying to stomp the stage boards at Sonisphere this year, Mastodon return to Knebworth having played at the inaugural Sonisphere back in 2009. Their progressive take on metal has seen them become one of the scene’s biggest names in recent years, with both critics and fans alike heaping high praise on their outstandingly skilled musicianship and songwriting skills. Expect an audio assault from the likes of 'March Of The Fire Ants', 'Blood And Thunder' and 'The Czar: I. Usurper II. Escape III. Martyr IV. Spiral'. Also, with talk of Mastadon currently in the studio, there could be some brand new material ready for unleashing come July.

Another band announced are In Flames. Making their first appearance on these shores since 2009’s Taste Of Chaos tour having broken out of the 90s Swedish Death Metal scene. In Flames have gone on to become one of the country’s biggest musical exports, selling millions of albums around the world, receiving numerous awards and achieving an impressive list of chart positions. Currently working on their next release, the band checked in to say tell Sonisphere fans: “We have been in the studio since October recording our new album and we can’t wait to come out and play the new song live. The UK has always been very good to us and we love coming back so this is something we really look forward to”.

The fourth band revealed in this latest Sonisphere 2011 announcement of confirmed acts are making the long journey over from Down Under, Australia’s Parkway Drive pay their first visit to Sonisphere, bringing with them an arsenal of mosh-inducing metalcore. Consistently delivering fierce and energetic live shows, Parkway Drive have earned a reputation for unforgettable performances, through hard work and heavy touring with the likes of Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Bleeding Through and many more. Hot off the back of a UK tour, the promise of Parkway Drive’s exclusive festival appearance at Sonisphere is one that is bound to excite the fans as much as the band: “Holy crap they’re actually letting us play this thing!!!” shouts vocalist Winston McCall. “Sonisphere 2011!!! I don’t think we can really describe how excited we are to play, and I think Jeff will probably die when Metallica play!”

More bands are set to be announced in the coming weeks, check back to Stereoboard for the latest Sonisphere UK announcements as and when they happen!

Queens Of The Stone Age To Tour Re-Release Of Debut Album?

Queens Of The Stone Age To Tour Re-Release Of Debut Album?

Josh Homme is not a man who likes the quiet life. Not content with spending part of 2010 touring with supergroup Them Crooked Vultures, he hit the road almost immediately after with his‘day job’ band Queens Of The Stone Age to promote the re-release of debut album ‘Rated R. Now Homme seems keen to get back on the road again with QOTSA to promote a re-release of their self titled debut album.

On release in 1998 ‘Queens Of The Stone Age’ was the album which won the band their first major record deal and the rest, as they say, is history. Homme agreed a deal tying his own Rekords Rekords label to British based Domino Records paving the way for the record to be re-packaged and re-released with three new tracks. ‘The Bronze’ and ‘These aren’t the Droids Your Looking For’ come from their 1998 ‘Split EP’ while ‘Spiders and Vinegaroons’ is one of the three QOTSA tracks from the Kyuss/QOTSA ‘Split’ which included 3 tracks by each band.

The re-release, due on March 7th, gives a great opportunity for fans that first discovered the band during the‘Rated R’ or ‘Songs For The Deaf’ period to hear the very earliest sound of the band where the dirty blues and sludgy guitar sound now so identifiable as their own was first launched. The tie-up between the two labels will also see albums from Mini Mansions and Alain Johannes released in May 2011.

Rumours of a new tour come from a Tweet by Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe who announced at the end of last week,"QOTSA to play several shows in special venues across the UK pre-summer to support the re-release of their debut album on Domino Records."He followed up with another tweet giving a little more information but no confirmation,"No further details re QOTSA shows. But they will draw heavily on the debut album. All part of the celebration around the Domino re-release."

As usual, stereoboard.com will have all the latest tour and album release news as it comes.

Tracklisting:

1 - Regular John
2– Avon
3 - If Only
4 - Walkin On The Sidewalks
5 - You Would Know
6 - The Bronze
7 - How to Handle a Rope
8 - Mexicola
9 - Hispanic Impressions
10 - You Cant Quit Me Baby
11 - These Arent the Droids You’re Looking For
12 - Give The Mule What He Wants
13 - Spiders and Vinegaroons
14 - I Was A Teenage Hand Model

James Blake Performs Live Session For BBC Radio

James Blake Performs Live Session For BBC Radio

English pop-turned-dubstep newcomer James Blake has given a rare live studio performance for the BBC. The songwriter performed three songs from his upcoming eponymous debut album, including his recent hit cover of Feist’s ‘Limit To Your Love’.

The singer has made a name for himself through restraint, opting for absence of sound and often holding back where conventional dubstep artists would try to make an impression through emphasis. He showed his enthusiasm for tailored silence in a recent interview with the BBC:"I was playing a song called Lindisfarne,"he recalls of a gig in December."It starts with a vocoder on its own, unaccompanied, and there were times when I extended the silence slightly, because I was enjoying it so much. Just to hear a whole room of people not talking, with just the thud of the music downstairs bleeding through, is incredible. There was a moment when a man took his jacket off and it was like nails on a chalkboard. To have that control, just through music, of people's emotions, was great. Really good."

The 22-year-old singer recently finished second in the coveted BBC Sound of 2011 poll, regarded by many as a key indicator of the best up-and-coming artists in British music. Despite the accolade, it would appear that Blake is less than assured about his current hype:"When it comes to critical accolades, I really, honestly can't understand what's going on. It's like purgatory - I can't decide whether it's leading to heaven or leading to hell."

You can watch James Blake’s live rendition of ‘The Wilhelm Scream’ below. Two other tracks (‘Lindsfarme’ and ‘Limit To You Love’ are available to watch on the BBC website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/soundof/2011/)

Lykke Li Announces New Single 'I Follow Rivers'

Lykke Li Announces New Single 'I Follow Rivers'

Lykke Li has announced details of her new single 'I Follow Rivers' from her highly anticipated second album 'Wounded Rhymes'.

'I Follow Rivers' will be released on February 14th and provides a stark contrast to the first single from the album 'Get Some'. Whilst ‘Get Some’ deals with themes like empowerment and role play, 'I Follow Rivers' deals with another tug of war; the powerful force called love and its obsession. A dark, destructive one, stronger then any river, any drug. It haunts you, leaves you, begging for more...

“Oh I beg you: can I follow? Oh I ask you: why not always? Be the ocean, where I unravel. Be my only, be the water.”

Like 'Get Some', the track recently stormed blogs reaching no. 1 on the hypemachine global chart in a matter of hours.

Available to purchase on 7” vinyl  and digitally, the single features remixes by Dave Sitek (Producer du jour and TV on the Radio band member) and  Van Rivers and Subliminal Kid (who works with Fever Ray). A remix from Magician (formerly from cosmic disco duo Aeroplane) is currently riding high in global blog charts.

Ahead of her April UK tour, Lykke will be performing a unique one off live show day of album release (Feb 28th) at Rough Trade East. This will be the only live performance until her headline tour so it’s definitely not to be missed.

Lykke Li’s new album 'Wounded Rhymes' is set for release on Feb 28th.

Lykke Li UK Tour Dates:

April 2011

12 - Trinity, Bristol
14 - Shepherd's Bush Empire, London
15 - Cockpit, Leeds
16 - Tripod, Dublin
18 - Arches, Glasgow
19 - Academy 2, Manchester

Professor Green’s Attacker Sentenced To Eight Years In Prison

Professor Green’s Attacker Sentenced To Eight Years In Prison

Professor Green’s attacker has been sentenced to an eight-year jail sentence, it has been revealed. Anthony Jones, 26, was convicted of grievous bodily harm with intent and will now serve a minimum of four years in prison.

Jones was originally convicted of the charges at Snaresbrook Crown Court in October, but he was forced to wait until earlier today (January 13th) to find out his final sentence. Jones, who was a student at London Metropolitan University, stabbed Professor Green with a broken bottle outside a nightclub in May 2009, leaving the rapper with substantial wounds on his neck. Judge John Lafferty (who oversaw the case) described the actions as “a premeditated attack”.

The rapper (real name Stephen Manderson) had told the court that he thought he would die directly after the incident: he phoned relatives on the night of the attack to say his goodbyes. Speaking to the BBC earlier today, the rapper said:"I nearly lost my life and I was in a position where I stood to lose everything if I don't go to court."

He continued:"It wasn't like I was snitching because I wasn't taking anything off my shoulders and putting it on someone else's, but at the same time there was something morally correct to do."

Meanwhile, Professor Green has announced a one-off gig at London’s Scala in King’s Cross on February 8th.

Academic Debate Set To Analyse Take That’s Comeback

Academic Debate Set To Analyse Take That’s Comeback

Take That’s recent reunion with Robbie Williams is set to become the topic of an academic debate, it has been revealed. The University of Salford has scheduled a two-day conference, focusing on the boyband’s meteoric comeback late last year.

The event will also analyse the band’s original split in 1996, as well as comparing them to the career paths of seminal British acts such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. The University invite prompted students and academic staff to come and “discuss key issues arising from this contemporary popular music phenomenon”. The conference will take place in June, coinciding with Take That’s mammoth UK stadium tour.

Meanwhile, Gary Barlow is set to perform at a special event to mark his 40th birthday in London next week. The one-off show, dubbed‘GB40’ will take place at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on January 20th.
The show is intended as a special celebration for fans, friends and family of the singer, celebrating songs from his extensive singing career. In addition, the evening will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2. All profits from the event will be going to charity.

The Take That singer will also be making a special appearance on the BBC 2 breakfast show with Chris Evans the morning before the gig (January 19th). Speaking about the event, radio host Chris Evans said:“Gary is a star, a musical genius and a gentleman and we can’t wait to help him celebrate this milestone birthday on the Radio 2 Breakfast show.”
